About

LeRoy J Fuller founder of Quality Vinyl Repair and Upholstery Company that later changed to Superior Upholstery LLC.

LeRoy J. Fuller owned Pizza Pub in downtown Kansas City, MO from 1967-1973. He noticed he had booth seats with rips and tears that needed immediate repair. While reading a magazine he saw an ad selling vinyl repair kits so he ordered one and learned to repair the damaged seats. Business slowed down because of gangs and crime in the area so he had to close. He took a class for vinyl repair and sewing and started Quality Vinyl Repair and Upholstery Company in 1970. LeRoy agreed to a sizable contract with an out-of-town restaurant chain and hired his son, Jim Fuller, and a friend to help complete the work. Jim and his friend continued to do upholstery under the name Superior Upholstery LLC starting in 1980. LeRoy and Jim Fuller eventually merged under the name Superior Upholstery LLC in 1985 and the business has been family owned and operated ever since.
